The Nigeria Archery Federation, NAFED, announces with deep sorrow the death of Commissioner of Police Hassan Saleh Gwani mni, a valued member of its Executive Board.
CP Gwani passed away on Monday, 20th July 2026, in Egypt, while undergoing treatment for a brief illness.
He served Nigeria and the sport of archery with dedication, integrity, and commitment. His contributions to NAFED and to the Nigeria Police Force will remain indelible.
“We pray that Almighty Allah grants his soul eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus, and grants his family, colleagues, and all who mourn him the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss,” reads a statement signed by NAFED’s president, Mohammed Baba Abdullahi.
