The Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has been mandated by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to do something decisive about the increase in electricity tariff in the country.
This statement was made by the NLC president, Ayuba Waba, in Abuja on Tuesday while revealing that the NLC would not hesitate to organise the working section of the populace to embark on a strike action against the electricity tariff hike if NERC continues to turn a deaf ear to their calls to lower the electricity tariff.
He noted that the action to increase electricity tariffs would only impact the people negatively, even though President Buhari has advised against the hike in electricity tariff.
