‘No Favouritism In Real Madrid Football Academy’s Admission’

The Special Adviser to Rivers State Governor on Real Madrid Academy, Barr Chris Green says those thinking there would be favouristism in the admission process would be disappointed.
This is just as he has disclosed that the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has warned against giving privilege or advantage to any of the candidates.
Barr Green stated this in Port Harcourt during the conduct of aptitude tests for over 1,200 candidates seeking admission into the world-class Real Madrid Football Academy.
He expressed satisfaction with the enthusiasm shown by candidates from across Nigeria, pointing out that it was an indication Nigerians have bought into the vision of Governor Wike in setting up the academy.
According to him,  “What you see happening is very impressive, it is an indication that Nigerians have bought into the vision of His Excellency, Governor Nyesom Wike, the pride of Rivers people.
“This is a deliberate plan by Governor Wike to provide for our dear state and Nigeria at large. He has secured the future of our youth; built human capacity, created job creation and wealth. It is a win-win for everybody.
“This is one project very dear to the governor to provide for the tomorrow of our young ones, which is why you see the number you have here. The facilities we have at the Real Madrid Football Academy are best in Africa.”
He reassured that all the candidates would have a free and transparent process to ensure that only those who meet all requirements are admitted.
The aide further disclosed that the request would be made to the governor to expand the present carrying capacity of the academy as a way of ensuring that more students are admitted.
Said he: “I can assure you that there is going to be a level playing ground for everybody. It is not for the high, it is not for the low, it is for everybody. They will be screened under the same condition for everybody. There be no influence as the result will be seen by all.
“Governor Wike has warned that there must be level playing ground for all. It is for everybody as long as they meet all the requirements. The facilities are limited but we will make a request to expand what we have. I know that out of the governor’s benevolence, he will accede to our request.”
