Northern Women groups under the aegis of Leah Sharibu Foundation and Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria Plateau State Chapter has given President Muhammadu Buhari one week ultimatum to rescue the remaining 112 Chibok girls, Leah Sharibu and others still in captivity of Boko Haram before Christmas .
President Leah Foundation Dr. Gloria Puldu while speaking during a Protest in Jos on Saturday by Christian Women demanded the immediate release of Leah Sharibu, Chibok girls and all other women and girls in captivity.
Puldu commended President Muhammadu Buhari and security effort towards the successful rescue and safe return of the students of the Government Science Secondary School Kankara in Katsina State, who were abducted and rescue within six days.
“We are here today in tears as Women from Northern Nigeria to speak to Nigerian Government under President Muhammadu Buhari to use the same method of rescuing the Kankara Boys in six to rescue the 112 chikbok girls who have been in capacity for six years, Leah Sharibu who has been in capacity for almost three years and other women and girls in captivity”.
Puldu noted that Nigerian women have been crying for six years in pains and urging President Buhari to use the same method of negotiation use for the release of the boys to rescue the remaining girls and women in capacity.
Also Speaking the Chairman Women Wing Christian Association of Nigeria Plateau State Chapter Mrs Rhoda Jahota urged President Buhari to secured the release of the girls before Christmas.
“We have come out to speak to Mr President on behalf of Christian women in the North to bring back our girls before Christmas, if the boys who were abducted within six days are return safe then the same method should be used by Mr President and security agencies to rescue the remaining Chibok girls abducted six years and Leah Sharibu three years amongst other women and girls in captivity”.
It would be recalled that some female students were abducted from Chibok while Leah Sharibu also a Christian schoolgirl was abducted in February 19th, 2018 in Dapchi.
