Ogun TESCOM begins screening of 95 vice principals

The Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has commenced the screening of 95 vice principals for secondary schools in the state.

The exercise is to enable the vice principals to fill the vacant  administrative and teaching positions  in some schools across the state.

ThisNigeria gathered that many teachers exited from service in recent time as they have attained the mandatory 35 years statutory service or have attained 60 years of age.

The 2-day screening which will hold at the Oke-Mosan secretariat will be the first official screening of the new board led by Hon. Olalekan Ifede.

Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools in the state, Akeem Lasis, whose union has been at the forefront of a systematic and follow-up service list expressed delight at the screening adding that it will bring the best into the teaching profession in the state.

‘’As far as we are concerned, we are satisfied with the list of the would-be- principals to be screened.  We have absolute faith, trust and confidence in the leadership of TESCOM in the state. May God help them.”
