Osun guber: Davido berates cousin for declaring interest to run

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has berated his cousin, Bamidele for declaring interest to run for the office of the Osun State Governor in 2022.
Davido, via his Twitter page on Tuesday, described Bamidele as “one who has never succeeded at building anything.”
The “Fall” crooner shared a picture of his cousin holding a provisional clearance certificate for the Osun State governorship election under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“Wonderful! I finished university with a 2:1. But it’s now cousin Dele who struggled to even get a 2:2 that is now forming ‘intellectual’.
“Intellectual that has not succeeded in building one single thing in his life on his own. This life! Osun, beware of fakes!,” Davido tweeted.
Responding to Davido’s tweet, his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, who had also declared his interest to run in the Osun guber race under PDP tweeted; “Don’t worry nephew, God got us.”
Recall that Senator Adeleke had in December 2021, submitted his gubernatorial nomination form at the PDP office.
