The Member representing Pankshin North in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Philip Dasun, has resigned as the Deputy Majority leader.
Our correspondent reports that Dasun announced his resignation during plenary on Tuesday.
The lawmaker before his resignation was the Chairman of the House Committee on Information.
He said he took a personal decision to become a floor member.

It could be recalled that the Plateau assembly had been in crisis for close to a month following the impeachment of the former Speaker of the assembly Hon Abok Ayuba who Dasun is a close friend.
