The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Police Command, on Thursday, dismissed as untrue, the reported attack/invasion of the residence of former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Walid Jibrin, at Apo district of the FCT by armed bandits.
The Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Haruna Garba, in a statement, told the public that contrary to the news making the rounds on social media platforms, there’s no recorded incident of a purported attack on/invasion of the residence of Senator Walid Jibrin at Apo, Abuja,
The CP enjoins members of the public to disregard any narrative regarding such and go about their lawful business unhindered.
Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, who signed the statement, also enjoyed the public to equally take advantage of the Police Control Room numbers in reporting suspicious activities.
