Revamping security measures to combat criminal activities

In a bid to nip criminality in the bud and aid the fight against criminal activities in the country, the federal government is aiming at fixing up CCTV cameras that have not been in use because they have been vandalised or broken down.
Alhaji Maigari Dingyadi, the Minister of Police Affairs, made this confident statement during the media briefing to mark his one year anniversary in office. According to him, the president is fully committed to making sure that all CCTVs in the country are fully functional. And work is ongoing as Auditors are presently inspecting the state of CCTVs in the country.
It is hoped that this initiative, along with the recruitment and training of new policemen and location of training bases within the country, would go a long way in reducing criminal activities in the country.
