A former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani, has reacted to a statement made by an Islamic cleric calling for the killing of Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu.
The cleric stated that Mrs. Tinubu, who is also a pastor, deserves to die for being a leader among the infidels in the country.
He said, “Tinubu’s wife is a Christian, in the Christianity, she’s a leader, they are supposed to kill her because inside the christian she’s a bad leader.
“Anyone that rules bad thing, God’s judgement says she must be killed, it is inside the Quran, that whoever that is ruling bad government should be killed.
“Tinubu’s wife is not the right wife for Tinubu as she has refused to convert to a Muslim,” the cleric said.
Reacting to this, Shehu Sani stated that it is unacceptable and condemnable for the killing of senator Remi Tinubu.
He wrote, “Criticising the Government and its policies is within the ambit of democratic rights; but Calling for the killing of Senator Remi Tinubu by the religious cleric is unacceptable and utterly condemnable.”
