Nigerian actress and singer, Bisola Aiyeola, has disclosed that she keeps her circle of friends very small to protect her peace.
In a recent interview, the former reality star stated that she maintains relationships but she sets boundaries, despite being a lovable person with many friends
“You have to know yourself, that’s the first thing. When you know yourself, you know the kind of things that you can tolerate. I am an acquaintance to so many people, but my circle is very small. So I always have to protect my peace, protect my energy. And the best way to do that is to know myself. I feel it’s easy to just compartmentalise people and relationships when you know yourself,” Aiyeola said.
She also spoke about the early stage of her fame, admitting that she once believed success would come effortlessly but was disappointed when she had to persevere.
She said, “I wish I knew that I needed to be patient. When I initially joined, I was a bit entitled. I didn’t think that I had to be patient. I just felt like if people knew me, I would blow automatically. But that didn’t happen. So, I had to be patient, and finally, here we are.”
