Tinubu commissions multi-town water network to boost supply in FCT satellite communities
President Bola Tinubu on Monday commissioned a major water supply network aimed at providing potable water to residents of Karu, Orozo, Jikwoyi, Kurudu and other adjoining satellite communities in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The project was inaugurated on behalf of the President by Vice President Kashim Shettima during a ceremony hosted by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike. The event drew government officials, community leaders and residents who gathered to witness the commissioning of the infrastructure project.
The water scheme is expected to significantly improve access to clean and safe water for thousands of households in the affected communities, while supporting public health and socio-economic development.
The project also reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to expanding essential infrastructure and improving the quality of life for residents of rapidly growing satellite towns within the FCT.
