Justice Hakeem Oshodi is presiding over the kidnap and murder trial of Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, aka Evans and his co-defendants today.
The Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja will give a pronouncement on whether the case should continue or not.
Four of his co-defendants want their charges dismissed while one is silent and refused to file a no-case submission.
Meanwhile, the defence counsels have been urging the court to dismiss the case but the Attorney General for Lagos State and Commissioner for Justice, Moyosore Onigbanjo, is opposing their demand.
In addition, a counsel at the Office of Public Defender, E. E. Okonkwo, has been ordered to take up Evans case when he said he could not afford a lawyer.
