Troops kill 11 terrorists, recover arms, ammunition in Kaduna

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ), said, troop of Operation Whirl Punch in collaboration with Defence Headquarters Special Forces, killed 11 terrorists, while others who could not withstand troop’s superior fire power fled.

 

Director Defence Media Operations, Major General Musa Danmadami in a statement in Abuja, said the troops exploited the general area and recovered two AK 47 rifles, two AK 47 magazines, fifty-seven rounds of 7.62 mm special ammunition, seven matchets and six motorcycles among other sundry items.

 

He noted that the terrorists were killed when the troops conducted clearance operations in terrorist enclaves at  Bagoma, Rema, Bilugai, Dagara, Sabon Layi, Gagumi, Katakari and Randagi villages all in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The troops, he said, made contact with the terrorists at Katangi and Katakaki villages and engaged them with superior fire power.

 

The military high command commends troops of Operation Whirl Punch and encourages the public to avail troops of credible and timely information on criminal activities.
