Presidential candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has explained his reason for deleting a tweet condemning the murder of Deborah Samuel, a 200l student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto.

Atiku explained during an interview with a broadcast channel, TVC on Sunday.

Recall that he came under harsh criticism from Nigerians after deleting the tweet and taking to Facebook to debunk the tweet in Hausa language.

Giving his reason, he said, “I asked the tweet to be deleted because I normally approve every tweet and since I did not approve the tweet, I asked them to delete it. If you read my subsequent statement on that murder, I condemned it.”

Recall that Deborah Samuel was lynched by her colleagues in the premises for alleged blasphemy of Prophet Muhammed.
