Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike has expressed disappointment in the Director-General of the Dr. Nabo Graham Douglas Campus of the Nigerian Law School, Professor Isa Hayatu Chiroma, over the institution’s lack of maintenance.
ThisNigeria reports that Wike, during his tenure as the Rivers governor, had built the law school campus, describing it as self-sustaining during its commissioning on November 19th, 2022 by former President Muhammadu Buhari.
However, speaking in a video sighted by ThisNigeria, the Minister lamented the poor state of the school
He said “Those of you who don’t have any appointments today, you’re opportuned to criticise those who have appointments.
“You’re opportune to criticise government not doing what you’re supposed to do. But when you have been given an appointment, for you now to showcase those kind of capacity you think you have, you fail.

“I called the DG of the law school in the last body of benchers. I said I’m highly disappointed. Look at the money that we spent in that law school. Ordinary to cut the grasses; you cannot.
“Money was made available to you to make sure that you don’t run back to the federal government to say, Look, we don’t have money to run the activities of the school.
We went ahead to even provide structures for you to rent out and make money to use for the maintenance of that school. Go and pass that school now; you can’t believe it.”
