The governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has reacted to the chants of presidential candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar’s name by the crowd at a campaign rally held in Oyo state.
The crowd had chanted “Atiku” while Wike was addressing them at the re-election campaign rally of Seyi Makinde as the Governor of Oyo State.
Reacting to this in an interview with BBC pidgin, Wike said he was unbothered by the display during the rally, adding that Atiku should not be deceived by the incident.

The governor said “The display in Oyo state are part of the things that deceive people. In politics you must carry everybody along if not it will affect your chances.
“You must be very careful in involving yourself in local ppolitics.But Atiku doesn’t understand. He does not know it matters. For him he would say whether Wike likes it or not he will win.”
