Peller pays Jarvis’ bride price

Popular Nigerian content creator and TikTok personality, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has announced a major milestone in his relationship with fellow social media star Elizabeth Aminata, also known as Jarvis.

The influencer revealed that he had paid Jarvis’ bride price during a traditional family introduction ceremony, signalling a significant step towards marriage for the couple.

The online streamer shared the development on Sunday through a video posted on his social media platforms, showing both families gathered for the customary event.

The ceremony featured traditional attire and cultural rites, with Peller dressed in a white shirt, George wrapper and coral beads, while Jarvis appeared in a red wrapper complemented by matching coral accessories and a beaded crown.

Confirming the development, Peller described the occasion as the beginning of a new chapter in their relationship.

He expressed appreciation to both families for their support and blessings, declaring that he was ready to build a future with his partner following the completion of the traditional rites.

The latest development comes only weeks after the social media influencer proposed to Jarvis during a romantic ceremony at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Ghana. The proposal, which attracted widespread attention online, featured an elaborate beachfront setting illuminated by decorative lights and attended by close associates.

Interestingly, the Ghana proposal was the second public marriage proposal by Peller. In December 2024, he had gone down on one knee during a gathering attended by family members and friends.

Although the moment quickly went viral, uncertainty followed when Jarvis described the ring as a promise ring and indicated that she was not yet ready for marriage.

The engagement was later confirmed in July 2025 when Jarvis appeared on the television programme Rubbin’ Minds, where she acknowledged that the proposal was genuine and admitted it had taken her by surprise.

Their relationship has, however, experienced periods of turbulence. In December 2025, Peller made headlines after crashing his vehicle during an emotional TikTok livestream in which he spoke about a breakup with Jarvis and made comments suggesting self-harm.

The incident led to his arrest by the police in Lagos before he was subsequently released.

Following the controversy, Peller publicly apologised to his supporters, while Jarvis later visited his family and stated that the relationship had been put on hold.

Despite those challenges, the couple now appear to have reconciled and moved their relationship forward, with the payment of the bride price widely viewed by supporters as a significant step towards marriage.

The pair rank among Nigeria’s most-followed digital creators, having built massive audiences through collaborative TikTok content, livestreams and online entertainment projects before their friendship evolved into a romantic relationship.
