Ganduje: Learn how to solve your party crisis from APC, Shehu Sani tells

A former senator and human rights activist, Shehu Sani has claimed that the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) sacrificed its former National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje to reset the party.
Recall that over the weekend, Ganduje, a former Governor of Kano State, announced his resignation, citing health reasons for his decision. He stated that he needs to focus on his well-being.
Ganduje’s tenure as APC chairman has been marked by controversy and challenges since he was elected Chairman in August 2023, amidst internal party conflicts.
While Ganduje’s resignation letter attributes his decision to health concerns, sources familiar with the matter suggest that political tension within the party may have also played a role in his decision to step down.
Allegations of financial impropriety have also been linked to his resignation, with some party members reportedly protesting “excessive financial demands” imposed by his office.
Reacting to the development, the former lawmaker hailed the party for sacrificing its National Chairman ahead of the 2027 elections.
He also mocked an opposition party suspected to be the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for its failure to get its house in order.
He wrote on Facebook, “When the ruling party forecast problems ahead, they sacrificed the chairman and reset the party and moved on.
When the opposition experienced problems, they allowed their problems to keep growing and spreading, postponing NEC and NWC meetings, organizing conferences, going to Courts and Courts and going to TVs for interviews and blaming others.
In life, when you don’t treat one problem, it either spreads or leads to another or both. There is a lesson to learn.”
