Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho is hopeful that Leicester City will secure a place in their first-ever European competition final.
The Foxes will face Italian heavyweights Roma in the return leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League semifinal at the Stadio Olimpico tonight, with the tie locked at 1-1 after last week’s first leg at the King Power Stadium.
The aggregate winners will face either Feyenoord or Olympique Marseille in the final in Albania on May 25.
‘Presidential declaration fever’
Leicester come into the match on the back of a 3-1 loss away to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this past weekend, though Super Eagles star Iheanacho believes that will bounce back quickly from this defeat.
“We are really disappointed in the game,” he is quoted by Leicester’s official website.
“We lost, and obviously, we played well in both halves. But what changed the course was the goals.
“We’re always together when we win and when we lose, so we won’t dwell.

“We’ll move forward, and hopefully, we’ll sort that out and focus on the next games.”
On the upcoming clash against Roma, Iheanacho added: “We need to get back now, we have a big game on Thursday (today).
“We have a good squad, we can change things around. Hopefully, it will work quite well for us. They have a strong team, but we’re looking to get to the final.
“Our supporters always support us, in good and bad situations. They’re always there for us. We’ll keep going and keep giving them our best and hopefully we’ll get something for them on Thursday.”
