Gov. Hope Uzodimma of Imo has approved the appointment of Mr Francis Chukwu as the new General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA).

This is contained in a release signed by the governor’s Media Adviser and Chief Press Secretary, Oguwike Nwachukwu, made available to newsmen in Owerri on Thursday.

According to the release, Chukwu’s appointment takes immediate effect.

“In line with the governor’s directive, the handing and taking over formalities are expected to be completed before close of work on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021.

“Gov. Uzodimma has also admonished the new General Manager of OCDA to devote his energy and time to sanitize the agency and restore the confidence of the people in its activities,” the statement read.

Until Chukwu’s appointment, the OCDA was headed by Mr Innocent Ikpamazie. (NAN)
